Important Announcement to Our Valued Guests:
After 10 months of rigorous investigation, officials from the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and NASA announced today that there are no electronic defects in Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said, "We enlisted the best and brightest engineers to study Toyota's electronics systems, and the verdict is in. There is no electronic-based cause for unintended high-speed acceleration in Toyotas."
NHTSA enlisted the help of NASA scientists and engineers who evaluated the electronic circuitry in Toyota vehicles and analyzed more than 280,000 lines of software code.
The report noted that the only car-based causes of alleged acceleration incidents were trapped floor mats and sticking pedals that have been addressed by Toyota's recalls.
Today's announcement validates what millions of Toyota owners like you already know, that Toyota vehicles are safe, reliable and dependable. You can read the complete story here.
